Our Team
Mark Fitzgibbon, CFA
Founder & Chief Investment Officer
Mark Fitzgibbon, CFA is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of BeaconNorth Partners. Previously, he served as Head of the Financial Services Research Group at Piper Sandler for 6 years and was a member of the firm's Key Leaders Group. Before that, he served as a Principal & Director of Research at Sandler O’Neill + Partners for 25 years until the firm merged into Piper Jaffrey.
In these roles, he functioned as the senior bank analyst and managed the firm’s 30-person financial services research team. Mr. Fitzgibbon also served as a Trustee of Piper Sandler and Sandler O'Neill's 401k plans. Earlier in his career, Fitzgibbon held analyst roles at Smith Barney and The Boston Company.
Fitzgibbon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Providence College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of both the CFA Institute and the Banc Analyst Association of Boston. He also serves as a Director of The New York’s Finest Foundation and a member of the Board of Corporators of Fairfield County Bank.
Gregory Zingone
Partner & Senior Analyst
Gregory Zingone is a Partner and Senior Analyst at BeaconNorth Partners, joining the firm at its inception. He previously worked at Piper Sandler, joining in 2021 and focusing on regional and community banks within the financial services sector. At Piper Sandler, he advanced quickly through the firm’s ranks, becoming one of the youngest covering analysts.
Zingone earned both his Master of Science in Finance and his double-major Bachelor of Science in Finance and Quantitative Perspectives from Bentley University, completing both degrees concurrently in four years. He later returned to Bentley to pursue his second graduate degree, a Master of Business Administration, which was completed in 2026.
